Yeah guys you guessed it. Its the time of year i get to ask you for some feedback on your exam performance recently. I have produced an online form that you can find HERE where you can quickly and easily fill in the details.
You will be needing your grades for that and you can get this from your report or from me in class.
I hope to do this task this week with both my lovely S3 classes.
After that, go HERE for a reward.

Whilst surfing the iPhone App store I discovered a cracking Design & Technology iPhone/iPod Touch application. I have been waiting ages for someone to do this and it’s great. It’s almost as good as having the official course notes in your pocket.
It I suitable for pupils on our C&D and Product Design courses.
It costs £1.19 in the App Store and promises regular updates. Just look in the EDUCATION section or search for D & T.
If you have the app on your phone or touch let me know – it means you can have it out on your desk during class.

Time for a little update on the Beatles Rock Band project in our S3 Graphics class.

The Girls beat the Boys
The Bands are now playing the game in career mode which means, no more picking favourite songs and no more picking the big hitters! The pupils have found this twist really challenging but have shown great spirit in supporting each others groups as they play. The groups are also getting used to updating their band blogs – check out the blogs on the right of the page.
The latest scores from the band sessions are below. The Graphic Rockers have passed the MILLION POINT MARK – well done guys. The Renegadez are not that far behind though!
Graphic Rockers – 1,110,771 points
Renegadez – 913,959 points
4 Aces - 756,025 points
Rollin Rockers - 703,281 points
Airr – 619,184 points
In a new twist the Girls have drawn level with the boys in the battle of the sexes competition. It is now 1-1.
Great stuff so far. The next tasks for the Bands include producing their own CD’s for the tour and some technical drawing and design of CD Jewel Cases.

My HPD pupils have asked me what to do with their models of the design proposals from the second NAB of the course. As you can see above, I have made a real life ‘model in context’ presentation picture of the scale model the pupil produced.
The picture above actually has 4 pictures that have been ‘Photoshopped’ – a technique where you can manipulate images and change how they look. One of my S6 Pupils models are included in the picture – can you figure out what images are photoshopped?
Including this picture in your design folio (minus Optimus Prime) cant be a bad thing as marks will be given for variety of graphics techniques used.
We can all download a free piece of software called Serif Photoplus which will allow you to do what i do. I have used Photoshop Elements 8 for the Mac – which is a little more professional (And way to expensive) but does pretty much the same.
